you are the apple of my eye.

first and foremost, i need to give a shout out to akon. so poetic.

and now one for our stalker. you are a slimy, sleazebag, piece of trash. that frame was cute...and now its tainted. and erika's already the nervous one...so pick on someone your own size. you are a creep...and you should take no pleasure in pink velour shorts, you nasty. and you make taylor wake up scared, you whoremonger. take that ten dollars and buy yourself some dirty magazines. creep.

ok i copied taylor, but this is the missing picture. so if you find it somewhere, please tell us. ease our pain.

when im not worrying for my life, keeping my key pointed at all times going to my car, and checking my back always, im making cute head bands and bows. theyre in this fall :)

today one of my stories got selected to be in uwire. that meant as much to me as it does to you, so allow me to toot my own horn for just a moment.

"UWIRE is a wire service powered by student journalists at more than 800 colleges and universities across the US. It acts as a sort of hub between these institutions' newspapers, giving each of its over 850 members access to news, sports, features, entertainment and opinion articles by the other members. UWIRE also distributes its members content to professional media outlets, including the New York Times, CBS News, CNN, and Yahoo." Thank you wikipedia.

so that was fun for me. the newsroom cheered and everything :)

remember when florida lost?

i want to direct my readers to taylors blog (hoo news). scroll down and watch her advertising application movie. its fabulous, and i just have to share the brains and beauty of my friends with you. erika deserves substantial credit in the production...yes, my friends are of the first-class.

for those who didnt quite see the "W" this weekend ;), here's a gentle reminder of what victory looks like.

its plastered with "Y"s and shouts of roars.
its tradition, spirit and honor.
its 4th and 18, alumnus jonny harline, and a stadium tucked in godly scenery.

7th in the nation.

go cougs.

i realize i have the most terrible seats ever.

ok well im through now. i hope all is well. i cant wait to see my little new nephew! and my old one too. ok and the city slickers. and all of you. i miss you and love you all.

and just to keep yall wanting more....

:)

please dont stop the music.

my legs are tired. always. its the walk to school, the 120 steps up the tanner (i counted this morning), the 3 flights up the brimhall 3 times a day...and the standing. the hours and hours of standing, asking for names and party sizes and listening to the same dumb jokes from the same fat, all-you-can-eat-shrimp people.
my legs are tired.

my cerebral membrane might be leaking out of my head. for the third time in a month, i have gotten this initial pony-tail like pain on my head. within a few days, that bruised-feeling spot turns into a bump, and then that bump fills with blood. then i squeeze it til im bleeding to death. totally gross, i know, but just thought i should warn yall.

i am not a hypochondriac.

i got a new silver ipod today, and ill be getting a mac by next week. bless me...and any bill collectors that may come my way.

and now here are some photos of my place.

im quite retarded and far too impatient to organize those suckers...so you can do your own gandering.

the mexi-squares came with the place...so you are free to judge.

our television does not have a remote. do you know what thats like?!

i have a giant mirror for that empty wall space in my bedroom.

thats a pic of mine and taylor's bathroom, we're working on another bucket for our sticks, and those are all the disclaimers i have.

so im pretty positive i will be out of country this summer. i am hoping to go to uganda and teach children english and build orphanges. its $2750 for the program (not counting airfare), but i can stay from 4 weeks to 6 months at that fixed price. erika will also be joining me. we will fundraise the majority of our money, and we start applying friday.

if that doesnt work, my next route will take me to scotland or england to intern with the parliaments there. i will likely be placed in the speech and press department. its a semester long internship, and i can go whenever i want. you also take 9 credit classes while there, and you get to travel to other european countries as well.

moral: im stoked.

ok this is boring.

goodbye.

this is how i do.

i am...a sucker for hot men in garments.
i think...im more outgoing than i am (without a wingman, of course).
i know...secrets dont actually mean you cant tell your best friends. its just gonna happen.
i want...platinum hair with a purple streak in it. next paycheck.
i have...way too much stuff for a girl my age.
i wish...i could wear cute clothes to work.
i hate...when people think im dumb because im a blonde then think im ignorant because im a byu-er.
i miss...the way home was before i left for college.
i fear...that i wont get to do all the things i want before im married (most would say die, but perhaps theyre the same...kidding ;)
i feel...really full and trapped in this shirt.
i smell...burts bees and i have to have it.
i search...for tender mercies every day of my life.
i wonder...if ill be able to pay off all the new things i plan to buy with my new credit card.
i regret...all the times i chickened out.
i love...seeing my name and story in the newspaper. i feel like a star. so what?
i care...about my teeth and whats in them. always.
i always...check my facebook.
i am not...easily angered. frustrated--ok, we all know im crazy. but few things make me mad.
i believe...i will go shopping tomorrow. YAY!
i dance...with overworked eyes.
i sing...bleeding love, whatever you like, and memory way too much.
i live...on way too little sleep.
i don't...start things until they need to be started.
i write...really well.
i win...i dont play games.
i never...talk about a person's acne.
i listen...to the sprinklers outside my window at night and wish it was rain.
i can usually be found...in the brimhall. it owns me.
i am scared...to answer my phone when its a number i dont know.
i read...school assignments only when necessary. reading is not actual homework.
i am happy about...having a new nephew today!
i tag...not my style.

im so hood.

you cant say i didnt warn you.

nonetheless, here i am.

school starts on tuesday, and i am out-of-control excited. like really. im in my major classes now, ill be writing for the Daily Universe, im minoring in business management [free translation: classes in the tanner :) ], and ive got new clothes to do it all in. wooden table, anyone?

i moved to the bayhood. ok fine, its really called baywood, but lets get real--taylor found dirty panties under her bed. and if that doesnt convince you, consider the layers of dust and hair around our baseboards. or our lack of internet. or the dirty fridge, mildewed faucets, grimy washing machine, or bottle of honey spilled in my food cabinet. take your pick.

our ward is rumored to be 30-ish, with one-third of attendees as BYU students, another third as UVU students, and the remaining third as career-ees. our neighborhood is primarily mexican. haha i tried doing that with a straight face, but couldnt. seriously though...those little brownies run all around my hood. needless to say, you can find me back at alpine.

on the plus side, erika, taylor, and i finally all get to live together. rent is cheap, we're getting the internet TODAY!, and well, i cant think of any more pluses. kidding.

ill post pictures once i buy a new camera.

(side note: we emailed our land lord asking for some sort of compensation for the intense, deep cleaning we had to do in a supposedly "move-in ready" apartment. just proof were passionate).

aside from the incredibly stressful house hunting/moving/cleaning that has been my life the past few weeks, fun has been had. allow me to illustrate.

i went to san francisco to visit mother and bill. fine...mother and father. as always, it was a great time. i did plenty of shopping, bought a great dress i love more and more each time i wear, scoped out the infamous SparkArt, and as expected, ate.

but to really top off the trip, we all went to the boardwalk where bill and i rode several rollercoasters! it was hilarious. like pee-in-pants, lose your dentures, totally nauseous...hilarious. and yes, bill did do all of the above ;)

then there was our vegas night. we made drinks and really cute invites and dressed up. thats all.

bike riding. a new passion of ours. i currently own a magma. ive also equipped it with a basket, which really comes in handy for our ipod speakers.

we are the scene.

a bunch of boys from our ward are on the byu soccer team, so we went to their game against REAL. i was most excited because i got to make a shirt...im becoming quite crafty in my old age. the back said JERSEY CHAS'R and had a big 27 on it. funny, i know.

finally (trust me, im as bored as yall are by this point), we met jesse mccartney a little bit ago. hes a little boy, but he had the hots for me and my girls. how darling.

so thats all im going to say for now. ive been six days without fast food or fine dining now...and yes, that is an incredible accomplishment. needless to say, im starving! sacrifices.

alright love you all. hope everyone is alive and well.

'cause you sweeter than apple pie.

so as it turns out, utah has the most fabulous summer weather in all the states. were talking 90s hot during the day and perfect and breezy during the night. the combination is completely conducive to my living habits--laying out, biking, and nightly loitering. needless to say, my bronzing is coming quite along, and if our bike rides didn't always end at sonic, id have really great legs, too. trade-offs.

red lobster owned me this past week. i do have a new friend there, however, and her name is bodi. she is going to be a senior in high school come fall. taylor and erika also have little-girl friends at their places of employment, and so we have decided to bring them in. im quite excited.

we played rock band this week, and the entrance fee was rockstar attire. i would personally like to thank debbie for providing me with my head-to-toe gear.

so during my last couple trips to the gym, i have drafted a bucket list. its totally incomplete, and most of the goals are set for just the next 5-10 years, but its been a fun activity. (and it pumps me to 162 strides/min!). allow me to share a few. in no particular order:
1. go skydiving (already arranged for end of summer).
2. travel to England, Italy, and Spain.
3. help abroad.
4. weigh 120 pounds.
5. read bible from cover-to-cover in a year.
6. be a mission president's wife.
7. go to all my best friend's weddings.
8. own an unnecessarily expensive car.
9. get my masters.
10. buy the dress of my dreams.

i also have an ongoing list of 100 things that make me really happy. id recommend everyone make that list. ill share a few of my own next time, but a new one i will be adding is "gaining perspective." i love those times, when for just one fleeting moment, i see the important things...the stuff of substance and of value. buying clothes, and losing 5 pounds, and throwing parties take the back burner for just a minute, and i see the things that i already have and am already doing...and i feel so satisfied.

so on that note, as always...until we meet again.

let the monsters see you smile.

...and so i buckled. next thing you know, ill be drinking smartwater.

really, this only means bill and debbie have yet another annoying blog to keep up with. on the plus side, however, i promise not to call and yap about my weekend and then refer you to my blog for the exact same details. no offense erica :)

im not altogether sure what i want this site to be about. i clearly suck at calling people, which totally diminishes the phone-in-water accident i had today (eek!), so this could turn into a re-hashing of my life's events. or, maybe ill take on bill's leaf and share some deeper thoughts. God bless yall.

ill start with all that shallow and superficial material that is my life. friday night--went up to sandy for a huge party that turned out to be anything but. three 6 mafia was there, but old black men dont stay fly-i-i-i-iiii-iiiiiiiiiiiii for long. and ill thank adam for being the only one to catch that reference.

dont mind me, im just gonna slap on the same picture randomly throughout my posts. anyways, these first two were us all ready for a freaky, friday night.

other than that, i really just worked this weekend. its always an experience at the lobster. 100% of the time i get really odd reactions that im a byu attendee. mind you...im in a long sleeve, white button-down shirt that's completely buttoned-up...so immodesty isnt whats throwin' them for a loop. i think the employees are just shocked i have teeth...so a college education is completely unnerving. the customers...i dont know...freak nasty old men that dont think big-haired blondes can have half a brain? either way...rude.

two of our favorite boys to the left...south africans here for rugby. plus, they provide great connections...if you know what i mean ;)

besides beer, boys, and vegas...theres actually been a lot on my mind recently. some crazy crap has gone down here, and i am realizing the importance in searching out life's miracles. when returned missionaries turn out to be shady, families-for-forever fall apart, and it feels like you cant catch a break...i am learning that lasting faith must become so much more than a belief. lasting faith demands so much and requires you to actively search out the good things. otherwise, life just turns completely monotonous and draining and full of disappointment. and so im on a mission for miracles.

on that note, im peacing out. im going to make a bucket list...maybe itll make it here. love you all (assuming i have a family only reader-base).
